Hi, I’m Elena

I’m a psychotherapist based in Los Angeles, offering individual and couples therapy. My work is grounded in curiosity, honesty, and genuine human connection. Therapy, to me, isn’t about someone quietly listening from across the room. It’s a space where we look closely at what’s happening, make sense of the patterns that keep repeating, and find new ways forward.

My approach

I see therapy as something we do together. I’m present, engaged, and curious about what’s happening in your life and in the room between us. We might explore where certain reactions come from, notice the patterns you’ve learned to rely on, or slow down enough to understand what sits underneath something that keeps coming back.

There’s no single formula that works for everyone. I adapt our work to you: what you’re going through and what you need at this point in your life. Sometimes that means making sense of the past. Sometimes it means working with what’s happening right now. Often, it’s a bit of both.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, a major transition, old emotional patterns, or simply a sense that something needs to change, therapy gives you the space to understand yourself more clearly and respond differently.

Your pace

You don’t have to have it all figured out

Maybe you’re tired of overthinking. Maybe the same arguments keep coming back. Therapy is a place to slow down and make sense of it, at your own pace.

Sessions

What a session looks like

Sessions are a conversation, honest and unhurried. Some weeks we’ll explore the past; other weeks we’ll focus on something practical you can try. You’re always in charge of what we talk about.

Change

What change can look like

Feeling calmer in your body. Understanding your reactions instead of fighting them. Saying what you need without guilt. Change isn’t a straight line, but it adds up.

Working with couples

Couples often come to therapy because they keep ending up in the same conversation, the same conflict, or the same distance, even when both of them truly want things to be different.

Our work is to slow those patterns down and understand what’s happening underneath. That might mean learning to talk more openly, rebuilding closeness, getting through a hard season, or putting words to the needs and fears that are hard to express when emotions run high.

You don’t need to wait for a crisis. Couples therapy can also be a place to understand each other more deeply and build a relationship that feels more intentional, connected, and honest.

A little about me

I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to what happens beneath the surface: why we repeat certain patterns, why some relationships bring out particular parts of us, and why understanding something doesn’t always make it easier to change.

My own experience of therapy shaped the way I work today. It showed me how powerful it is to have a space where you don’t have to perform, explain everything perfectly, or already know the answer. That’s the kind of space I aim to create for every person and couple I work with.

Where I work

My practice is based in Los Angeles, with online sessions for clients across California. All you need is a private space where you can speak freely.
