Your mind is not broken. It’s tired.
Maybe you lie awake replaying the day. Maybe your body tenses before your mind knows why. Maybe you have tried to “just relax” and it made everything louder.
Talking helps you understand what’s happening. But understanding alone doesn’t always reach the nervous system. That is where hypnosis and meditation come in: they give us another way to work with what talking alone doesn’t always shift.
In our work we combine both: evidence-based therapy to make sense of things, and focused, guided attention to change how they feel.
Four myths, four facts.
Most of what people know about hypnosis comes from films and stage shows. Clinical hypnosis is quieter and more ordinary than that. Tap a card to see the fact.
One minute of calm. No experience needed.
This is the first practice I teach most clients. Breathing out a little longer than you breathe in can help your body slow down. Press start and follow the circle.
Breathe comfortably. If the counts feel too long, shorten them. There’s no right way to do this.
A hypnosis session, step by step.
- 01
We talk first
We start with what you’d like to change and how it shows up in your body, your sleep and your day.
- 02
We settle in
You sit comfortably, eyes open or closed. I guide your attention with my voice, slowly narrowing it down.
- 03
We rehearse change
In that focused state, we practise new responses: feeling calm in a situation that usually triggers panic, for example.
- 04
You take it home
We finish by talking it through, and you leave with a short recording to practise every day.
Notes from the room.
All notes
Hi, I’m Clara. I help busy minds slow down.
“My clients understood their anxiety perfectly, and still couldn’t feel calm.”
I’m a clinical psychologist, and for fifteen years I’ve worked with people whose minds rarely switch off: nurses on night shifts, founders, parents of small children, people living with pain.
That’s why I trained in hypnosis. Hypnosis and meditation gave us a way to work with the body, not just talk about it. You won’t be asked to believe in anything. You’ll be invited to try.
Fees & questions.
Will I be asleep during hypnosis?
No. Most people describe it as deeply relaxed but alert, like the moment just before falling asleep. You can hear everything and respond if you want to.
How many sessions will I need?
For a specific goal like sleep or a phobia, many people notice change within four to six sessions. Broader work takes longer, and we review progress together regularly.
Is hypnosis right for everyone?
Not always. It isn’t recommended during some mental health crises or for certain conditions. We decide together in the first session whether it fits your situation.
Do I need to meditate every day?
Five to ten minutes a day makes the biggest difference. We build a practice around your routine, not the other way round.
Do you take insurance?
I’m an out-of-network provider. I give you a monthly superbill so you can claim reimbursement from your insurer.
A quieter place to start.
Tell me what’s been feeling loud. In a free 15-minute consult we’ll see together whether therapy, hypnosis or meditation fits.
